One lucky Aussie has won the $50 million jackpot in the Oz Lotto draw, becoming the biggest lottery winner of the year.

Oz Lotto’s jackpot soared to its highest level since January, just four weeks after a South Australian woman scooped $40m in Powerball. But this time it wasn’t a South Aussie but a punter in Victoria who became one of the biggest lottery winners of 2022 after buying the only division one winning entry across the nation.
That means they scooped the entire $50 million jackpot – but they might not even know it yet.
The winner purchased the ticket at a Tatts outlet in Casey, in Melbourne’s southeast. The winner was unregistered, meaning the ticketholder will have to come forward to claim their prize.
