Two very lucky Australians families woke up this morning as multi-millionaires after sharing in the $200 million record-breaking Powerball lottery draw on Thursday night.
It was the single biggest jackpot prize in Australian Powerball and Lottery history, with a couple from Singleton in NSW and a woman from Hawthorne in Brisbane, Qld each receiving $100 million each. It has been estimated that over half of all Adult Australians bought at least one ticket in the record draw.
The chances of winning the division one prize in Powerball are more than 134 million to one.
There were also 22 division two winners, who will all take home a prize of just over $177,000 each.
The winning numbers for Thursday’s $200 million Powerball Draw 1446 were:
12, 33, 23, 35, 1, 26, 32 and with the Powerball number: 10
