A couple from the SE Queensland region of Redland Bay, who wishes to remain anonymous, took home a staggering amount of $6 Million from last Thursday night's Powerball. 

 

The couple who won have been struggling to get by and sustain themselves for the past 7 years on a measly pension. After hearing the good news and confirming their multimillion dollar win, they consider this as a big miracle.

 

The couple also shared that winning the lottery has been somewhat a tradition in their family as well as buying homes for their children. 

 

Back in the 1980's, a close family member of theirs won division one in Gold Lotto and was able to buy homes for their children. 

 

Now that they have won and have the money, they are planning to continue the tradition by buying homes for their children. 

 

Their winning numbers for the Powerball draw that changed their lives were 4, 6, 16, 20 and 25 with the winning Powerball 18 and was purchased from NewsExtra at their local alexandra Hills Shopping Centre.
