Bonnyrigg Grandfather wins $6M from Powerball
The lucky winner told the press that he is a regular Powerball player, often purchasing a 12 game entry for $9.70, and has been sticking to the same numbers for the longest time.
NSW Lotteries officials were able to contact the winner this afternoon, immediately after announcing the winning entry in draw 824 with the numbers 43, 38, 37, 39 and 42 together with the Powerball number 27. He was easily contacted as he registered his $6 million winning ticket to his Players Club card.
After hearing of his big win, the first thing that came into his mind is buying himself a house and helping his seven children. But before all of that, he said that his first he wants to buy himself a nice barbecue.
The $6 millon winning ticket was purchased from Fairfield Railway Bookstall at Fairfiled Station.
